Best Porridge Base Mix

I LOVE this mixture!  I usually use half a serving (¼ cup) and add banana, dates, shredded coconut, vanilla, cinnamon, or whatever else I am in the mood for that day.  I have also posted fun recipes using the mix so that you can enjoy my crazy creations as well.

This is actually a super yummy lunch, especially on cold days.

Yields 6 servings at ½ cup each.

Nutrition Information:  100 calories, 24g carbs, 2g fat, 6g protein, 0mg Cholesterol, 0mg Sodium, 0g sugar, 8g fiber

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Oat Bran
  • 1 cup Bob’s Red Mill Wheat Bran
  • 1 cup Old Fashion Quaker Oats

Directions:

  1. Pour all ingredients into a bowl and mix.
  2. Place mixture in airtight container for continual use.
  3. Measure ½ cup mix with 1-cup water and throw in any fruit or other ingredients for a yummy porridge meal.
